Second Planting: Trees in the Venice lagoon!

test sottotitolo

We adopted new trees to help revive Lio Piccolo, in the Venice Lagoon 🌱

In the heart of the northern Venetian lagoon, Lio Piccolo is a unique and fragile ecosystem, increasingly threatened by erosion. Since 2022, thanks to WOWnature’s reforestation project, native species such as salt cedars and junipers have been planted to strengthen the banks, protect biodiversity, improve water quality.

We are proud to have planted the trees adopted by Formeco, contributing to the regeneration of this extraordinary landscape 🌿

For us, sustainability is a daily commitment: every day we work to turn waste into resources for a greener and more sustainable future.

Trees planted

Terebinto

Terebinth is a deep-rooted Mediterranean plant, capable of growing in difficult terrain. Since ancient times, it has been prized for its balsamic resin, still used today as a remedy for kidney stones, arthritis, and sciatica.

Olivello Spinoso

Sea buckthorn is a shrub resistant to cold, wind, salt, and drought. It also improves soil thanks to its ability to fix nitrogen from the air through symbiotic bacteria. Its berries, rich in vitamin C, are beneficial for health.
