Trees in the lagoon

test sottotitolo
Planting trees in Lio Piccolo means making a tangible contribution to the protection of a unique ecosystem, where land and water coexist in a delicate and precious balance. We want to protect the lagoon’s biodiversity, improve air quality, and preserve the natural beauty of a place that is a symbol of our local identity.

Trees planted

Terebinto

Terebinth is a deep-rooted Mediterranean plant, capable of growing in difficult terrain. Since ancient times, it has been prized for its balsamic resin, still used today as a remedy for kidney stones, arthritis, and sciatica.

Olivello Spinoso

Sea buckthorn is a shrub resistant to cold, wind, salt, and drought. It also improves soil thanks to its ability to fix nitrogen from the air through symbiotic bacteria. Its berries, rich in vitamin C, are beneficial for health.
